Missing Persons

Emergency situation

Has your loved one disappeared?  Whether it is a child who went outside to play and now cannot be found, or an adult who is not where they are supposed to be and is not  answering their cell phone or texts, your first step should be to call 911 and get the local authorities involved.  In true emergencies time is critical and the police can bring mission-critical resources to help in those crucial moments.

Once the authorities are involved, it is up to you to decide if you need additional resources.  The police might respond to several missing persons calls a day and a detective often has dozens, if not hundreds,  of active cases at any one time.  The person assigned to your case may be new and just learning, preoccupied by other "more important"investigations, or may simply not be invested in your case and go through the motions.  Sometimes they will not consider your loved one "missing" and therefore will not investigate at all.  This is common when the person missing is an adult, has no preexisting medical or psychological conditions, or has gone missing multiple times in the past.

By hiring Midlands Private Investigations, you are ensuring your loved one has a dedicated team of investigators who will devote all their time and efforts to bringing your loved one home. You will receive a lead investigator to oversee your case, and additional resources can be brought on board as necessary.  With a combination of real-world investigation, database mining, and forensic interviews, we will leave no stone unturned in our search for your loved one.

Gone but not forgotten

We lose track of people all the time in our modern world.  They might move away to another town, go to college in another state or country, or sometimes we just lose touch through the hustle and bustle of daily life. Before we know it days, week and even years may have passed and now we want or need to get in contact with them. The phone number you have for them is disconnected, you can't find them on social media and now you are worried something might have happened to them.  Unlike a fresh missing persons case we can't rely on physical evidence to point the way, determining the place to start your search is often the hardest part of these type of investigations.

Midlands Private Investigations can access municipal and private databases, contact law enforcement, and rely on the network of private investigators across the country to aid in our search. By cross-referencing these sources and applying proven investigative techniques we can find people that you as a private citizen might never be able to find.  Let us help you resume contact with your loved ones before it is too late.

Human Trafficking

It is estimated that between 15,000 and 50,000 people are trafficked inside the USA every year.   For these people the nightmare is never ending, someone is keeping them from returning to their loved ones and forcing them to do illegal acts against their will. There are many ways good people end up in this trap, abusive relationships, abductions, or getting into situations that they could not control. Once you are being trafficked, it is very difficult to extract yourself, or your loved one, from the situation without professional help.

At Midlands Private Investigation we will not only find your loved one but we will work with you to find the best way to enable them to escape from their situation.  Every case is different some victims are held back by fear of their trafficker, the threat to hurt them or their family is often crippling, while some believe they are in love with their trafficker and have to be convinced to leave the abuser, and still others have substance abuse problems which their trafficker exploits to keep them under control.  We have worked with all these situations and will craft a plan that gives us the best chance to remove them from the situation and return them home.
